Book Launch: Women to the Front, the Extraordinary Australian Women Doctors in the Great War

‘Women to the Front, the Extraordinary Australian Women Doctors in the Great War’ is a book written by Dr Heather Sheard and Dr Ruth Lee, published by Penguin Random House.

VMWS President Dr Magda Simonis will be launching this wonderful book, to be held at the Welsh Church. The church was the first site of the Queen Victoria hospital and the launch will take place in the original ward of the hospital.  It is also the site of a memorial plaque the VMWS installed to commemorate the five Melbourne women doctors who served during WWI.
