Study suggests Australian women receive sub-optimal heart care

Recent research suggests that Australian women are being under-medicated in comparison to their male counterparts.

A possible explanation could be that we usually think of older men as the usual Ischaemic Heart Disease patients; however, as Dr Watts points out in this article,  ‘Ischaemic heart disease is ischaemic heart disease – whether it’s in a man or a woman’.
