VMWS is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring three members to attend either the August or October intake of the AMA Emerging Leaders course! Normally costing $2100, VMWS will be covering the program cost for three future leaders!
The aim of the Emerging Leader Program is to support the next generation of doctors (PGY1-PGY8+) to transition effectively into their roles in different health services and other specialty and practice settings.
Course Dates:
There are two intakes for the course:
- Intake 1- Tuesday 24 August, 6.15-8.45pm.
- Intake 2 – Saturday 23 October, 10-3.30pm
The duration of the program ranges from 4.5 – 8 weeks depending on format.
How to Apply?
To apply, submit an email to [email protected] with the heading “AMA Emerging Leaders” and tell us in 300 words or less why you would like to attend the course. Please specify your full name, contact details (email and phone number) as well as PGY level.
Due Date for Applications:
- Intake 1- 20th August 5PM (one sponsored position available)
- Intake 2 – 15th October 5PM (two sponsored positions available)
Eligibility Criteria: Open to all current VMWS members, PGY1 and above.
