The 2019 Constance Stone orator is Dr Rosalie Cooper. Rosalie has a long association with VMWS and AFMW and is currently the treasurer of VMWS and National Council of Women representative.
Rosalie was born in Tasmania and graduated with an MBBS from the University of Melbourne in 1961. Rosalie’s successful and colourful career in medicine has been profoundly impacted by a number of personal events in her life. In her 2019 oration, she shares with VMWS the story of how ‘lithium therapy saved my medical career’, giving insight into the impact of different therapies on her mental health and practice as a doctor.
