Starting internship can feel exciting, daunting and everything in between. The Hospital Hustle is here to help you feel more confident, supported, and ready for the transition.

This interactive evening will explore the realities of life as an intern, with practical advice, honest insights, and thoughtful discussion about the unique challenges faced by women and non-binary people in medicine all in a supportive, inclusive space.

    Focus on education, wellbeing, and advocacy; designing junior doctor support programs.
  • Dr Isabelle Zupan – PGY3, Eastern Health
    Passionate about education and advocacy; commencing anaesthesia training in 2026.
  • Dr Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bartetzko – PGY2, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne
    Aspiring surgeon; active in research, sustainability initiatives, and teaching.
  • Dr Grace Woollard – PGY2, Western Health
    Future anatomical pathologist; passionate about education, gender equality, and lab-to-bedside medicine.

Students – FREE for VMWS members; $10 for non-members

Doctors – $10 for VMWS members; $20 for non-members

Zoom attendance only – FREE for VMWS student members; otherwise $5 for all other member types.
