VMWS is excited to announce that two of our members will have the chance to take part in Monash University’s Women in Leadership Program, fully sponsored by VMWS! We will cover the entire course fee ($1590) for two ambitious women.
About the Women in Leadership Program
The Women in Leadership Program by Monash University features motivational speakers from clinical, academic, and professional fields. This three-day program is specifically designed to inspire, encourage, and support women in realising their full career potential.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this program you will:
- Identify your leadership strengths
- Describe your barriers and enablers to career advancement
- Identify career drivers for innovative leadership – your why and your purpose in leadership
- Apply innovative leadership thinking
- Describe distributed and collaborative leadership approaches for greater impact
- Participate in a dynamic community of Women in Leadership
2024 Dates – 3 Day Program
- 30 APR, 1 & 2 MAY (in person)
- 18, 19 & 20 JUNE (online)
- 9, 10 & 11 JULY (online)
Time: 9am – 4pm

- A statement of 300 words or less explaining why you wish to attend the course
- Your full name, contact details (email and phone number), and PGY level
- Preferred course dates (refer to the course dates above)
This opportunity is open to all current VMWS members, with preference given to those in PGY 3 and beyond.
Applications are due by 15th April 2024 at 23:59 AEDT.
Successful recipients of the VMWS Women in Leadership Scholarship will be expected to share a written summary highlighting their experience.
